Hilbertian Repulsive Effect and Dark Energy

Abstract

A repulsive gravitational effect of general relativity (without cosmological term), which was pointed out by Hilbert many years ago, could play a decisive role in the explanation of the observational data concerning the accelerated expansion of the universe.
