The Gottfried sum rule in an unquenched quark model

Abstract

We present an unquenched quark model for baryons in which the effects of quark-antiquark pairs (light flavors, u, d and s) are taken into account in an explicit form. The method is illustrated with an application to the flavor asymmetry of the nucleon sea.
