Study of cJ radiative decays into a vector meson

Abstract

The decays cJγ V (V=φ, 0, ω) are studied with a sample of radiative γcJ events in a sample of (1.060.04)× 108 events collected with the BESIII detector. The branching fractions are determined to be: B(c1 γφ)=(25.8 5.2 2.3)× 10-6, B(c1 γ0)=(228 13 22)× 10-6, and B(c1 γω)=(69.7 7.2 6.6)× 10-6. The decay c1 γφ is observed for the first time. Upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the branching fractions for c0 and decays into these final states are determined. In addition, the fractions of the transverse polarization component of the vector meson in c1 γ V decays are measured to be 0.29-0.12-0.09+0.13+0.10 for c1 γφ, 0.158 0.034+0.015-0.014 for c1 γ0, and 0.247-0.087-0.026+0.090+0.044 for c1 γω, respectively. The first errors are statistical and the second ones are systematic.
