Schatten p class commutators on the weighted Bergman space L2a (Bn, dvγ) for 2nn + 1 + γ < p < ∞

Abstract

Let Pγ be the orthogonal projection from the space L 2 (Bn, dvγ) to the standard weighted Bergman space La 2 (Bn, dvγ). In this paper, we characterize the Schatten p class membership of the commutator [Mf, Pγ] when 2nn + 1 + γ < p < ∞. In particular, if 2nn + 1 + γ < p < ∞, then we show that [Mf, Pγ] is in the Schatten p class if and only if the mean oscillation MOγ (f) is in Lp(Bn, dζ) where dζ is the M\"obius invariant measure on Bn. This answers a question recently raised by K. Zhu.
