Search for Heavy Neutrino in K->mu nuh(nuh-> nu gamma) Decay at ISTRA+ Setup

Abstract

Heavy neutrino nuh with mh < 300MeV/c2 can be effectively searched for in kaon decays. We put upper limits on mixing matrix element |Umuh|2 for radiatively decaying nuh from K->mu nuh (nuh -> nu gamma) decay chain in the following parameter region: 30MeV/c2 < mh < 80MeV/c2; 10-11sec < tauh < 10-9sec. For the whole region |Umu h|2 < 5 x 10-5 for Majorana type of nuh and | Uμ h|2 < 8 x 10-5 for the Dirac case.
