Speedups of compact group extensions
Abstract
Let S1 and S2 be ergodic extensions of finite measure preserving transformations T1 and T2, where the extensions are by rotations of a compact group G. Then there is an N-valued function k, measurable with respect to the factor T1, so that S1k is isomorphic to S2 by an isomorphism that respects the action of G on fibers.
