Diophantine approximations with Fibonacci numbers

Abstract

Let Fn be the n-th Fibonacci number. Put =1+52. We prove that the following inequalities hold for any real α: 1) ∈fn ∈ N ||Fnα||-1+2, 2) n ∞||Fnα|| 1/5, 3) n ∞||n α|| 1/5. These results are the best possible.
