We prove that the main theorem for absolutely monotonic functions from the book Mitrinovi\'c~D.S., Pecari\'c~J.E., Fink~A.M. "Classical And New Inequalities In Analysis", Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1993, is not valid without additional restrictions.
