Asymptotics of generalised trinomial coefficients
Abstract
It is shown how to obtain an asymptotic expansion of the generalised central trinomial coefficient [xn](x2 + bx + c)n by means of singularity analysis, thus proving a conjecture of Zhi-Wei Sun.
