Gluinos lighter than squarks and detection at the LHC

Abstract

We explain how physics in the kaon sector proves useful in setting constraints in models where the gluino mass is below 2 TeV, while the other supersymmetric particles are in the range (3-10) TeV. We also discuss the signals of these models at colliders, in particular at the LHC.
