The SM and SUSY after the 2011 LHC results

Abstract

We present a short review of the LHC results at 7 TeV and their implications on the Standard Model (SM) and on its Supersymmetric (SUSY) extension. In particular we discuss the exclusion range for the SM Higgs mass, the tantalizing hint of an excess at mH 125 GeV, the negative results of searches for SUSY particles (as well as for any other new physics) and the present outlook.
