The MOLLER Experiment
Abstract
The MOLLER experiment will measure the weak charge of the electron, QeW = 1 - 42θW, with a precision of 2.3% by measuring the parity-violating asymmetry in electron-electron (M) scattering. This measurement will provide an ultra-precise measurement of the weak mixing angle, 2θW, which is on par with the two most precise collider measurements at the Z0-pole. The precision of the experiment, with a fractional accuracy in the determination of 2θW ≈ 0.1%, makes it a probe of physics beyond the Standard Model with sensitivities to mass scales of new physics up to 7.5 TeV.
