A note on the action of SL(m, Zn) on the ring Zmn

Abstract

We know that Zn is a finite field for a prime number n. Let m,n be arbitrary natural numbers and let Zmn= Zn ×Zn×...×Zn be the Cartesian product of m rings Zn. In this note, we present the action of SL(m, Zn)=\A ∈ Zm,mn : det A 1 (mod)\, where SL(m, Zn) for n≥ 2 is a group under matrix multiplication modulo n, on the ring Zmn as a right multiplication of a row vector of Zmn by a matrix of SL(m, Zn) to determine the orbits of the ring Zmn.
