Axial-vector mesons from τ APτ decays
Abstract
Axial-vector mesons a1(1260), f1(1285), h1(1170), K1(1270), and K1(1400) can be produced in semileptonic τ A P τ decays, where P stands for the pseudoscalar mesons π or K. We calculate the branching ratios based in a meson dominance model. The exclusive channels τ- a1(1260)-π0, τ- a1(1260)0π-, and τ- h1(1170)π- turn out to be of order O(10-3), the channel τ- f1(1285)π- of order O(10-4), and channels τ- K1(1270)-π0, τ- K1(1270)0π-, τ- K1(1400)-π0, and τ- K1(1400)0π- of order O(10-6). These results indicate that the branching ratios could be measured in experiments.
