Damping law of photocount distribution in a dissipative channel
Abstract
For a dissipative channel governed by the master equation of density operatord /dt= (2a a-aa - aa) , \ we find that photocount distribution formula at timet, \p(n,t) =Tr\ (t) ( aa) ne- aa/n! \ , \ becomesp(n,t) =Tr% [ (0) ( e-2 taa) ne- e-2 taa/n! % ] , \ as if the quantum efficiency \ of the detector becomes e-2 t\ This law greatly simplifies the theoretical study of photocount distribution for quantum optical field.
