A study on central diffractive f0(980) and f2(1270) meson production at the LHC
Abstract
In this contribution we report on the investigation of central diffractive production of mesons f0(980) and f2(1270) at the energy of Large Hadron Collider in proton-proton collisions. The cross sections and rapidity distributions for these low-lying mesons are analyzed. The Pomeron-Pomeron process was considered relying on a nonperturbative Pomeron model which is justified by the low mass of considered resonances. The associated theoretical uncertainties are discussed.
