Influence of Tissue Geometry on Transversal Relaxation
Abstract
With today's NMR techniques some microscopic geometry of tissue can still not be resolved directly. Often, there is also a specific off resonance field related to this geometry. In this work the impact of these off resonances on the transverse relaxation is investigated. Therefore the Bloch-Torrey Equation was numerically solved with a Monte Carlo approach, and the feasibility to deduce information about the geometry of the tissue from the simulated transverse magnetization rates was analysed.
