On conjugacy classes in the Lie group E8
Abstract
This is based on a talk given at the AMS/RMS joint meeting in June 2013, Alba Iulia. The main theme is that the conjugacy classes in the Lie group E8 should be (roughly) parametrized by conjugacy classes in the corresponding Weyl group.
