Recent Results on Radiative and Electroweak Penguin Decays of B Mesons at BaBar
Abstract
Radiative and electroweak decays of B mesong (B to Xs(d)γ and B to Xs(d), respectively, where X is a hadronic system and s or d labels the underlying quark process b to s(d)γ) provide good places to search for new physics (NP) beyond the standard model. Recent BaBar measurements are reported: inclusive BF(B to Xs γ), direct CP asymmetry for inclusive Xs γ and Xs+d γ, and searches for the rare decays B to π(η). No evidence for NP was found, but several constraints are discussed.
