Effect of scalar leptoquarks on the rare decays of Bs meson

Abstract

We study the effect of scalar leptoquarks on some rare decays of Bs mesons involving the quark level transition b→ s l+ l-. In particular we consider the decays Bs → μ+ μ-, Bd0 Xs μ+ μ- and Bs → φ μ+ μ-. The leptoquark parameter space is constrained using the recently measured branching ratio of the Bs → μ+ μ- process at LHCb and CMS experiments. Using such parameters we obtain the branching ratio, forward backward asymmetry and the CP asymmetry parameters in the angular distribution of Bs → φ μ+ μ- process.
