Inclusive J/psi production in p-Pb collisions at sqrt(sNN)=5.02 TeV with ALICE at the LHC

Abstract

In 2013, inclusive J/psi measurements in p-Pb collisions were performed at the LHC at sqrt(sNN) = 5.02 TeV, in order to measure the effects related to the cold nuclear matter on the J/psi production. Their evaluation is important in order to be able to disentangle hot and cold nuclear matter effects in Pb-Pb collisions. In this contribution, results on the inclusive J/psi production in p-Pb collisions, in the dimuon decay channel at forward and backward rapidity, down to zero transverse momentum, are presented and compared to theoretical models.
