Abstract

For positive semidefinite n× n matrices A and B, the singular value inequality (2+t)sj(ArB2-r+A2-rBr)≤ 2sj(A2+tAB+B2) is shown to hold for r=12, 1, 32 and all -2<t≤ 2.
