n+- and Wn-module structures on U(h)
Abstract
Let n be the Cartan subalgebra of the Witt algebras n+=Der[t1, t2, ..., tn] and n=Der[t1 1,t2 1,·s,tn1] where 1 n ∞. In this paper, we classify the modules over n+ and over n which are free U(n)-modules of rank 1. These are the n+-modules (n,a, S) for some n=(λ1,·s,λn) ∈ (*)n, a∈ , and S⊂ \1,2,..., n\; and n-modules (n,a) for some n∈ (*)n and some a∈ .
