Study of baryonic decays of B mesons at BABAR
Abstract
We report on recent BABAR analyses of the baryonic B decays B0 c+pπ+π-, B- c++pπ-π-, B0 c+ppp and B0 D0. The used data sample contains 471×106\,BB pairs that were generated in the process e+e-(4S) BB and collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring at SLAC. We find B(B0 c+pπ+π-) = (12.30.5 stat0.7 syst3.2_ c)×10-3, B(B- c++pπ-π-) = (2.980.16 stat0.15 syst0.77_ c)×10-3, where the last uncertainty is due to B( c+ p K-π+), respectively. For the decay B0 c+ppp we see no events and set an upper limit B(B0 c+ppp)× B( c+ p K-π+)0.050 < 2.8×10-6 at 90\,\% CL, where we have normalized B( c+ p K-π+) to the world average value. There is evidence for the decay B0 D0 and we measure B(B0 D0) = (9.8+2.9-2.6\, stat1.9 syst)×10-6 corresponding to a significance of 3.4σ.
