Some Optimizations for (Maximal) Multipliers in Lp

Abstract

We use Oberlin, Nazarov, and Thiele's Multi-Frequency Calder\'on-Zygmund decomposition to lower estimates on maximal multipliers in Lp. We also improve on classical multiplier results of Coifman, Rubio de Francia, and Semmes.
