A remark concerning sinc integrals

Abstract

We give a simple proof of Hanspeter Schmid's result that Kn:=2∫0∞ t\,Πk=0nsinc(t2k+1)dt=π/2 if n∈\0,1,…,55\, and Kn<π/2 if n≥ 56. Furthermore, we present two sinc integrals where the value π/2 is undercut as soon as n≥ 418 and n≥ 3091, respectively.
