Cohomological Comparison Theorem

Abstract

If f is an idempotent in a ring , then we find sufficient conditions which imply that the cohomology rings n 0Extn(/,/) and n 0Extnf f(f f/f f,f f/f f) are eventually isomorphic. This result allows us to compare finite generation and GK dimension of the cohomology rings and f f. We are also able to compare the global dimensions of and f f.
