Radial deformation of the Kerr spacetime

Abstract

A radial deformation of the Kerr metric is studied which leads to the appearance of wormholes in certain cases. These wormholes can be thought of as being formed by two distinct but identical asymptotically non-flat spacetimes joined at the throat. The status of energy conditions are discussed in details. The components of the energy-momentum tensor of the spacetime and its eigenvalues are explicitly given. It is shown that the resulting spacetime, represents a family of exact anisotropic fluid solutions.
