Searches for b0 and b0 decays to K S0pπ- and K S0pK- final states with the first observation of the b0 KS0pπ- decay
Abstract
A search for previously unobserved decays of beauty baryons to the final states K0Spπ- and K0SpK- is reported. The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0\,fb-1 of pp collisions. The 0b → K0Spπ- decay is observed for the first time with a significance of 8.6\,σ, and a measurement is made of the CP asymmetry, which is consistent with zero. No significant signals are seen for 0b → K0SpK- decays, 0b decays to both K0Spπ- and K0SpK- final states, and the 0b → D-s (K0SK-)p decay, and upper limits on their branching fractions are reported.
