Interacting Scalar and Electromagnetic Fields in f(R,\,T) Theory of Gravity

Abstract

Within the scope of f(R,\,T) gravity we have studied the interacting scalar and electromagnetic fields in a Bianchi type I universe. It was found that if the study is confined to the case f(R,\,T) = R + λ f(T), the system is completely given by the equations similar to Einstein gravity. Moreover, the present study imposes some severe restrictions on the field equations as well.
