Generalized Burnside Algebra of type Bn
Abstract
We define the generalized Burnside algebra HB(Wn) for Bn-type Coxeter group Wn and construct an surjective algebra morphism between Mantaci-Reutenauer algebra Σ'(Wn) and HB(Wn). Then, by obtaining the primitive idempotents (eλ)λ ∈ DP(n) of HB(Wn), we consider the image resWAWneB and indWAWneBA under restriction and induction map between generalized Burnside algebras. We give an alternative formula to compute the elements number of conjugate classes of Wn. We also obtain an effective method to determine the size of C(Sn) which is the set of elements of type Sn.
