Desuspensions of S1 /\ P1Q-0,1,infty

Abstract

We use the Galois action on π1et(PQ1 - \0,1,∞ \) to show that the homotopy equivalence S1 (Gm,Q Gm,Q) S1 (PQ1 - \0,1,∞ \) coming from purity does not desuspend to a map Gm,Q Gm,Q PQ1 - \0,1,∞ \.
