Search for (4S)η J/ in B η J/ K and e+ e- η J/ processes
Abstract
We search for the (4S) state in B η J/ K and e+e- η J/ based on the Belle measurements with the assumed mass M=(42308) MeV/c2 and width =(3812) MeV. No significant signal is observed in the η J/ mass spectra. The 90\% confidence level upper limit on the product branching fraction (B (4S)K)((4S) η J/)<6.8× 10-6 is obtained in B η J/ K decays. By assuming the partial width of (4S) e+e- being 0.63 keV, the branching fraction limit ((4S) η J/) < 1.3\% is obtained at the 90\% confidence level in e+e- η J/, which is consistent with the theoretical prediction.
