Abstract

This paper presents a proof of the following conjecture, stated by Nishizawa in [Appl. Math. Comput. 269, (2015), 146--154.]: for 0<x<π/2 the inequality xx \!>\! (2π + π\!-\!2π3(π2\!-\!4x2))θ(x)\! holds, where θ(x) \! = \! -(48\!-\!24π\!+\!π3)x3 3(π\!-\!2)π3+π324(π\!-\!2).
