Pseudoscalar Gluinonia to 750 GeV LHC Diphotons

Abstract

Interpreting the diphoton mass excesses near 750~GeV reported by ATLAS and CMS as pseudoscalar gluinonia, bound states of two gluinos, we perform a scan in Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetry parameter space, fixing mg≈ 380~GeV and identifying an experimentally viable point. We generate events with this point, perform fast simulation, and carry out an analysis modeled on the ATLAS search which reproduces features of the diphoton excess. This interpretation requires an enhancement of the signal strength above the nominal rate found in the literature and neglecting the gaugino mass unification constraint M3≈ 3M2.
