Mean velocity equation for fluctuating flow: Numerical evaluation for small Reynolds numbers

Abstract

The mean veloctiy equation for fluctuating flow derived in an earlier paper of the author has been applied to circular jet flow for low Reynolds numbers. Numerical solutions have been obtained from an iteration starting with the corresponding solution of the Navier-Stokes equation. Deviations become distinct for Re > 30.
