Symmetric bilinear form on a Lie algebra

Abstract

Let g be the finite dimensional simple Lie algebra associated to an indecomposable and symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix C=(aij)n× n of finite type and let d be a finite dimensional Lie algebra related to a quantum group Dq,p-1( g) obtained by Hodges, Levasseur and Toro HoLeT by deforming the quantum group Uq( g). Here we see that d is a generalization of g and give a d-invariant symmetric bilinear form on d.
