Spectral distribution Method for neutrinoless double beta decay: Results for 82Se and 76Ge

Abstract

Statistical spectral distribution method based on shell model and random matrix theory is developed for calculating neutrinoless double beta decay nuclear transition matrix elements. First results obtained for 82Se and 76Ge using the spectral method are close to the available shell model results.
