Certain quaternary quadratic forms of level 48 and their representation numbers

Abstract

In this paper, we find a basis for the space of modular forms of weight 2 on 1(48). We use this basis to find formulas for the number of representations of a positive integer n by certain quaternary quadratic forms of the form Σi=14 ai xi2, Σi=12 bi(x2i-12 + x2i-1x2i+x2i2) and a1x12 + a2 x22 + b1(x32+x3x4+x42), where ai's belong to \1,2,3,4,6,12\ and bi's belong to \1,2,4,8,16\.
