Zero-sum Generalized Schur Numbers
Abstract
Let r and k be positive integers with r k. Denote by Sz(k;r) the minimum integer n such that every coloring :[1,n] → \0,1,…,r-1\ admits a solution to Σi=1k-1 xi = xk with Σi=1k (xi) 0 \,(mod \,r). We give some formulas and lower bounds for various instances.
