The D* D* c Three-Body System
Abstract
In the molecular picture the hidden-charm, pentaquark-like Pc(4450) resonance is a D* c bound state with quantum numbers I=12 and JP = 32-. If this happens to be the case, it will be natural to expect the existence of D* D* c three-body bound states. The most probable quantum numbers for a bound D* D* c trimer are the isoscalar JP = 12+, 52+ and the isovector JP = 32+, 52+ configurations. Calculations within a contact-range theory indicate a trimer binding energy B3 3-5\, MeV and 14-16\, MeV for the isoscalar 12+ and 52+ states and B3 1-3\, MeV and 3-5\, MeV for the isovector 32+ and 52+ states, respectively, with B3 relative to the D* Pc(4450) threshold. These predictions are affected by a series of error sources that we discuss in detail.
