We obtain an asymptotic formula for the L1 norm of the exponential sum M(α) = Σn Xτ(n)e(nα) where τ(n) = Σd|n 1 is the divisor function. In particular, we show that it is CX X with C = 18π3 - 12 2π3 - 12π≈ 0.153….
