Abstract

Let A=[aij]∈ O3(R). We give several different proofs of the fact that the vector V:=[arrayccc 1a23+a32 & 1a13+a31 & 1a12+a21 array]T, if it exists, is an eigenvector of A corresponding to the eigenvalue 1.
