Riesz means on symmetric spaces

Abstract

Let X be a non-compact symmetric space of dimension n. We prove that if f∈ Lp(X), 1≤ p≤ 2, then the Riesz means SRz( f) converge to f almost everywhere as R→ ∞ , whenever Rez>( n-12) ( 2p-1) .
