Vanishing coefficients in some q-series expansions
Abstract
Motivated by the recent work of Hirschhorn on vanishing coefficients of the arithmetic progressions in certain q-series expansions, we study some variants of these q-series and prove some comparable results. For instance, let align* (-q,-q4;q5)∞2(q4,q6;q10)∞=Σn=0∞a1(n)qn, align* then align* a1(5n+3)=0. align*
