-ω mixing contribution to the measured CP asymmetry of B ω K^
Abstract
We study the CP asymmetry of B ω K with the inclusion of the -ω mixing mechanism. It is shown that the CP asymmetry of Bω K experimentally measured (ACPexp) and conventionally defined (ACPcon) are in fact different, which relation can be illustrated as ACPexp=ACPcon+ ACPω, with ACPω the -ω mixing contribution to ACPexp. ACPexp is in fact the regional CP asymmetry of Bπ+π-π0 K when the invariant mass of the three pions lies in the vicinity of the ω resonance. The numerical value of ACPω is extracted from the experimental data of Bπ+π-K and is found to be comparable with ACPexp, hence, nonnegligible. The conventionally defined CP asymmetry, ACPcon, is obtained from the values of ACPexp and ACPω, and is compared with the theoretical calculations in the literature.
