On the L1 and pointwise divergence of continuous functions
Abstract
For a family of continuous functions f1,f2,… I R (I is a fixed interval) with f1 f2 … define a set If:=\x ∈ I n ∞ fn(x)=+∞\. We study the properties of the family of all admissible If-s and the family of all admissible If-s under the additional assumption n ∞ ∫xy fn(t)\:dt=+∞ for all x,y ∈ I with x<y. The origin of this problem is the limit behaviour of quasiarithmetic means.
