Refined Mass Estimate for Bilepton Gauge Boson
Abstract
Using the most recent experimental data on parameters of the standard electroweak theory, as well as renormalisation group equations with a boundary matching condition, we derive a refined and more accurate value for the mass of the doubly-charged bilepton (Y) occurring in the spontaneous breaking of the gauge group SU(3)L × U(1)X to the standard electroweak gauge group SU(2)L × U(1)Y. Our result is M(Y) = (1.29 0.06) TeV.
