On a sum involving certain arithmetic functions and the integral part function

Abstract

In this short, we study sums of the shape Σn≤slant xf([x/n])/[x/n], where f is Euler totient function , Dedekind function , sum-of-divisors function σ or the alternating sum-of-divisors function β. We improve previous results when f= and derive new estimates when f=, f=σ and f=β.
