Periods of a max-type equation
Abstract
We consider the max-type equation xn+4=\xn+3,xn+2,xn+1,0\-xn, with arbitrary real initial conditions. We describe completely its set of periods Per(F4), as well as its associate periodic orbits. We also prove that there exists a natural number N(F4) for which \N+m:m≥ 1,m∈ N\⊂Per(F4).
